1-82 CAV Executes Recon & Movement-to-Contact – Biak Training Center

REDMOND, OREGON – June 21, 2024

Soldiers from Alpha Troop, 1st Squadron, 82nd Cavalry Regiment, Oregon Army National Guard, conduct a movement-to-contact exercise at Biak Training Center using M1127 Reconnaissance Vehicle (Stryker RVs) across challenging terrain. This annual training mission sharpens the squadron’s ability to identify and engage opposing forces using advanced optics, communications, and maneuver tactics.

This drill reinforces the unit’s core mission of readiness and rapid response—Always Ready, Always There.
