I Went to the CA Senate and Demanded They Add Furries Too

I testified at the California State Senate Health Committee on AB 1487.
I decided to take a different approach this time since most of what’s said in those chambers falls on deaf ears anyway. But I can guarantee one thing, they won’t forget this testimony.

AB 1487 spends millions of YOUR taxpayer dollars funding organizations that create exclusive programs just for the transgender community. Art classes, dance programs, outreach, you name it.
But apparently, that wasn’t inclusive enough.

Two-Spirited individuals were upset they weren’t listed so now they’ve been added in this bill.
And you know what? I’m offended too.

Because once we start customizing taxpayer funded services for every identity, why stop there?

Where’s the love for Neutros? For Furries? For MAPs? For Detransitioners?
If we’re making everything identity based, don’t forget the rest of the rainbow.
