Kern County Deputies Shootout with Murder and Kidnapping Suspect

On May 5, 2020, the Kern County Sheriff's Office Incident Review Board convened to consider the use of force in an officer-involved shooting that occurred on April 12, 2020.

After reviewing all of the facts involved in this case, the Incident Review Board determined the use of force in this incident was within departmental policy.
