INDIANA VANDERBURGH SOLAR FARM

A local Vanderburgh County landowner/farmer discusses the solar project of Orion Bluegrass Creek Solar Farm. Orion Solar, LLC based out of California will receive a tax credit from the IEDC (Indiana Economic Development Corporation) to install the unwanted panels. The project will be eventually transferred to Centerpoint to harvest the energy. The sole purpose of the energy is to power Data Centers in the area. The largest landowner is the owner of Curran Miller Auction in Evansville, Indiana. There are a total of 12 landowners, with 10 living outside of Vanderburgh County.
