Nature Preserve named after local educator

A new 25-acre Nature Preserve near Indian River will honor a former teacher and community leader. The Lisa King Nature Preserve, established by the Little Traverse Conservancy, is adjacent to the Sturgeon River Nature Preserve. The property was donated in Kings name, a longtime Indian River resident and educator. David Barr Michigan News Source.
