Six crew members were rescued from the Liberian-flagged cargo ship Eternity C after it was attacked in the Red Sea by Yemen’s Houthi rebels, killing at least four sailors with 15 still missing.

The Houthis said they targeted the Greek-owned ship with drones and missiles in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.

The ship sank off Yemen’s Hodeidah port after sustaining heavy damage.

The attack follows other recent Houthi strikes on Israel-linked shipping, raising fears of a renewed threat to Red Sea navigation, Al-Jazeera has reported.

The U.S. condemned the attacks, calling them a threat to maritime security.
