Elon Musk Loses X CEO, Linda Yaccarino Resigns after String of Controversies

Linda Yaccarino is set to step down as CEO of social media platform X. She has announced her exit after leading the company for two years. Announcing her exit, Yaccarino said, "immensely grateful to Musk for entrusting me with the responsibility". Musk replied to Yaccarino, saying, "Thank you for your contributions" Yaccarino’s exit came months after Musk sold X to his artificial intelligence company, xAI. The decision raised questions about Yaccarino’s role in the new company. Yaccarino was brought to X in June 2023 to get advertisers back to the social media company. Advertisers alienated X after Musk’s takeover in October 2022. Under Yaccarino’s leadership, X’s active users also decreased.
