Folks, I’ve seen some bad shows — this one might take the cake. AEW Dynamite on 7/9/25 was embarrassing. First, Toni Storm and Mercedes Moné face off. What a joke! Mercedes still can’t cut a promo, and Toni thinks cursing equals charisma. Newsflash: ANYONE can curse. That’s not talent.

Bandido & Brody King vs. Protoshita — fun match, finally something decent. Raging Fire for the win.

Ricochet beat Blake Christian with a Vertigo. Match was GARBAGE. But Ricochet teaming with Gates of Agony? I actually like that. That might be the smartest thing AEW has done all month.

Then we get a promo with MJF and Mark Briscoe — and of course they drag out Jay Briscoe’s name for a cheap pop. Sad! Hurt Syndicate tries to come out and save it, but JetSpeed shows up to make the save. Patriarchy joins the chaos too. Nobody knows what’s going on.

The women’s four-way? Total filler. Megan Bayne wins it in a meh match. Powerbomb, done. That’s it?

Samoa Joe beat Wheeler Yuta — squash. Waste of time. Gabe Kidd attacked him after the bell, but then the rest of The Opps came out. Still boring.

And the main event? A disaster. Hangman, Shibata, Hobbs, and Ospreay vs. Moxley, Claudio, and the Bucks. So many bodies, nobody knew what was happening. Moxley wins it with a Bulldog Choke and then they did a post-match attack filled with junk and nonsense.

This was a BAD show. No flow, no stars, no logic. AEW is in trouble.
