Welcome to album ranking Wednesdays here on the channel and tonight we are going deep into the underground once again Norway for a look at one of the pioneering bands of DSBM with the legends of DSBM themselves with STRID. Now STRID formed back in 1991 as Malfeitor and then later became Strid in 1992. Strid is Norwegian for Battle for anyone who may be wondering.

he band only released 3 albums and im not sure if theyre going to be releasing anymore. But Strid were one of those bands who didn’t want to make satanic black metal like their Norwegian counterparts so they decided to take their music in a different direction which resulted in themes of depression, misanthropy and melancholy and the resulting efforts are astounding.
