On May 22, 2025 Toronto Catholic school trustee Michael Del Grande chastised the board of trustees and administration for having refusing to promote the National March For Life to students and staff.

He made the point that while opposition to abortion is a fundamental part of Catholic teaching, the board chose to suppress it, while at the same time, it promoted non-Catholic events like Buddha Day.
