Peggs Superintendent, Dr. John Cox, Running For OK State Superintendent

Dr. John Cox ran against Ryan Walters in the Republican Primary for State Superintendent.

In a crowded primary of four in the 2022 election, Dr. Cox came in a respectable third, with Walters eventually beating candidate April Grace for the Republican nomination.

Dr. Cox has been Superintendent of Peggs, for numerous years.

He's run for the State Superintendent position 3 times; twice as a Democrat (2014 and 2018) and once as a Republican (2022).

During the years that ROPE was fighting Common Core, Dr. Cox was with us. He did not like the idea of nationalized standards and helped us lobby against them.
