First Syrian to show at Paris couture week depicts 'hopeful future'

Rami Al Ali, the first Syrian to join Paris Haute Couture Week, showed his fall collection on Thursday (July 10). Titled “Guardian of Light,” Al Ali’s first runway outing in couture week featured pastel-toned, intricately embroidered gowns which he said symbolized hope for Syria’s future.
