The Destruction of Jerusalem. Matthew 24

The history of the fall of Jerusalem in AD 70, the destruction of the temple, and the fulfillment of Jesus's prophecy that's often confused as a prophecy about the end of the whole world. And it all took place during the generation that Jesus was speaking to. The Coming with Clouds (judgement) is not the same thing as the Second Coming. Matthew 23:35,36 says, "That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation." Jesus made it clear many times throughout the Gospels that these things were required of the generation He was speaking to, not of a future generation.
