Breakthrough near Mirnograd - Rybar's analysis

As of the end of June, the RF Armed Forces persisted in their incremental expansion of territory within the Pokrovsko-Mirnograd agglomeration from an eastern direction. However, following the breach of enemy defenses on July 6, the pace of advancement increased considerably, leading to the main battle being fought along the Koptevo - Mirnoe - Nikolaevka line. From this vantage point, Russian assault aircraft sustained the offensive, advancing towards Novoeconomicheskoe.

The following is a chronology of events in the sector:

By June 27, Russian military units had successfully expelled the enemy from the central sector of Belgiyka, marking a significant strategic shift in the conflict. This development followed prolonged counterattacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) on the neighboring Shevchenko sector, indicating a shift in the military balance of power in the region. Advanced groups advanced towards the forest area, which is located to the north of the village, and successfully captured several strongholds in that sector.

In early July, the RF Armed Forces breached the UAF defense line on the eastern flank, subsequently capturing Shevchenko Pervoe and Mirnoe from the retreating enemy. Building on this initial success, by July 6, the assault aircraft had liberated Koptevo and advanced towards the outskirts of Novotoretsky. Additionally, they secured control of the left bank of the Kazenny Torets river and engaged in combat operations for Razino, which was situated on the right bank.

Concurrently, the RF Armed Forces penetrated the enemy's defensive lines in the Elisavetovka area and initiated an offensive along the Kazenny Torets riverbed. By July 7, Russian units had liberated Nikolaevka and the surrounding area, west of it, through a series of attacks involving armored vehicles. In addition, fighters had entrenched themselves on the southern outskirts of Novoeconomicheskoe.

The settlement under discussion functions as the "gateway" to Mirnograd. The liberation of the city will enable the Russian troops to initiate an offensive, thereby bypassing the most fortified defense lines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in the central sector.

Should Russian troops succeed in maintaining the current rate of advance and swiftly securing control of Razino, they will be able to extend the offensive on Novoeconomicheskoe from the north as well. This will considerably complicate the situation for UAF units in the settlement, as they will essentially find themselves in a semi-encirclement.
