The plot picks up several years after Resistance 2. You play as Joseph Capelli, a former soldier trying to keep his family safe in a small town in Oklahoma. As the Chimera push humanity to the brink, Joseph finds out about a group of survivors seeking refuge in New York City, the last hope against the alien menace.

Joesph agrees to help the human remaints to collect an energy supply from the chimera drop ship!!! Things don't get an easier, after joesph collects the energy supply, hordes of chimera jumps down on Joesph to get it back, includding one giant spider
