"Noted." — Palace Responds to Proposal for Duterte's House Arrest at ICC
“Noted.”
That’s the only response Malacañang gave when asked if the Palace plans to study or act on Senator Alan Peter Cayetano’s resolution urging the Philippine government to request the temporary release of former President Rodrigo Duterte from the International Criminal Court (ICC) — and to place him under house arrest at the Philippine Embassy in The Hague, Netherlands.
According to Presidential Communications Office Usec. Claire Castro:
“The only thing I can say for now is, noted.”
She also added that Justice Secretary Boying Remulla had already spoken regarding the DOJ’s position on the ICC issue.
Is "noted" really enough when international justice and a former president are involved?
