Expanding Dairy Farmer Subsidy Program

The Dairy Margin Coverage Program is a subsidy for dairy farmers where the Federal Government will subsides milk in poor preforming years. The program was deregulated to help new farmers join more easily, and the quantity threshold was increased to allow for more milk to be covered at the lower rate than the higher rate. Additionally, the program was extended into 2031.
