We came to the border, brothers and sisters united, Americans and Canadians. We fought against the lockdowns, we fought against the mandates, we fought against family separation, as we came together, at the middle of the bridge, in solidarity, against tyranny, and advocating for freedom of speech.

We sang the American national anthem, the Canadian national anthem, we hugged each other, and we waved our flags, loud and proud, back and forth.

and then we hugged one another again.

No, those particular groups basically organized almost, uh, bi-monthly meetups at the foot of the Peace Bridge, the foot of the Rainbow Bridge, and then we would come together after speaking with the bridge commissions and getting permission to go onto the pedestrian walkway to come together and unite as brothers and sisters, uh, from Canada and America. And we were especially fighting for the families, uh, that were cross-border families that were separated during the lockdowns, mandates, and, uh, forced separations, which as we now know, uh, actually accomplished nothing other than, uh, grief and, uh, and, uh, a lot of anguish, uh, for a number of families because they were unable to actually come together on a regular basis like they used to be able to, uh, before all of the lockdowns, distancing mandates, and what have you.
