Auron MacIntyre on Liberal Democracy failure & the future of our Constitution | Collegians 2025

Auron MacIntyre, author and host of The Auron MacIntyre Show on The Blaze, discusses the origins of our Constitution and its application, as well as the history behind the American Republic. He tells us that the American government has moved farther away from the original Constitution as the country has grown, much more toward a doomed “liberal democracy,” the likes of which he describes in his book The Total State. Is it too difficult for America to return to the Constitution? Are we addicted to “maintaining ourselves as a global empire” or do we want to return to “the identity of a self-governing republic.”
