Section 10401 of the Big Beautiful Bill drastically increases the Supplemental Agricultural Disaster Assistance (SADA) program in regard to subsidy payouts for ranchers and farmers who lose livestock due to introduced predators, such as wolves. Now, ranchers who lose livestock will be reimbursed entirely by the Federal Government for their loss and can even get higher payments by proving that the local market is higher than the national average. Additionally, if the animal was a breeder currently in gestation, the rancher will also get additional payouts.

This section also authorizes the same sort of system for fisheries who are subjected to predatory birds at a minimum of $600 per acre.

The section also includes the payouts for orchards and nurseries affected by natural disasters and adds new rates for honeybee colony losses
