Cronus (or Kronos) was a Titan, the son of Uranus (Sky) and Gaia (Earth), and the king of the Titans. He is known for overthrowing his father and ruling during the Golden Age, but also for his paranoia and the prophecy that his children would overthrow him, leading him to swallow them whole. Eventually, his wife Rhea hid their son Zeus, who later forced Cronus to regurgitate his siblings and ultimately dethroned him
