Proverbs 6:20-21 New King James Version
20 My son, keep your father’s command, And do not forsake the law of your mother.
21 Bind them continually upon your heart; Tie them around your neck.

GOOD ADVICE ISN’T IT??? GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA EVERYONE!!!
I have to say guys, that since I've been learning to read the book of Proverbs from a different perspective, (without the undue influence and indoctrination of the IFB), God has been showing me so much as I independently study this book, my mind is blown every time I read it. Today especially, I was reminded about the value of hearing and following genuine godly advice, but I think we all need to realize that sometimes, the advice and coaching we get, especially from a parent who is saved, isn't always genuinely godly, and we wind up realizing that the hard way. It's only when we choose to read God's word for ourselves, and think for ourselves in Christ, that we really find true wisdom, and sometimes that true wisdom is found through someone else that isn't a family member or some approved adult.

Tonight, my friends, I feel very led of the Lord, to share some things that God showed me not just out of this passage of scripture from this morning, but from other passages of scripture on this issue, and I pray that you'll listen. I invite you right now to join me in this vlog tonight, as we learn what it means to have godly counsel as we run the race of life, because we need good coaches and godly influences in our lives to help make sure that we are running the race wisely! 😊

So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with these questions from this morning's devotional, and I pray that you not only think about them, but ask God to guide you to individuals who will help you in your walk with the Lord.

Who in your circle might be one you can learn from about life in Christ?

Who might you help?

My prayer for all of my brothers and sisters in Christ who are reading this, is that first and foremost, you surround yourself with people who will be that iron that sharpens iron, hold you accountable when you need it, but also be there to encourage and support you. While it's important to have accountability, if you don't have encouragement and support, you don't have real mentorship, but abuse. Seek out individuals, who will offer REAL godly counsel to you, not indoctrination, who will encourage you to read God's word for yourself, so that you can see the wisdom that they offer is real and live it out. I also want to reach out to the godly mentors out there, to make sure that you are truly offering wisdom that comes from God's word, and not your version of God's word. Don't just offer accountability but offer genuine encouragement and support especially to your children, because what you offer has a long-lasting effect.

UNTIL MONDAY:

HAVE A VEREY SWEET EVENING IN CHRIST JESUS!!!
