Silver Surfer Actress Responds to BACKLASH over Gender-Swapped Casting in Fantastic Four

Actress Julia Garner responds in an interview about the criticism of Marvel doing a gender swapped Silver Surfer in the upcoming Fantastic Four.

When bring Marvel’s first family to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, MCU, Disney and Marvel studio head Kevin Feige decided to go with a female Silver Surfer instead of the male version that is typical for the character. This kind of thing coincides with statements Kevin Feige made years ago about wanting to bring in more female characters to the MCU. However, there has been considerable backlash on Marvel in recent years, not because of female characters which have always been popular in the MCU, but because these characters were included with the stated purpose to push an ideological agenda.
