Little Piece of Heaven History

Little Piece of Heaven is the 9th song from, Somber Moon. It is also one that I cherish.
In my teens I met a girl who became one of my closest friends, Jenny. She introduced me to one of my favorite composers, Tori Amos.
I fell in love with her music. Her style captivated me. Her music was there for me in many ways. When I need comfort, to laugh, to dance. She amazed me with her diversity and genuine uniqueness.
She has contributed to the world in many ways. She also inspired me to write this song dedicated to this goddess of music.
Musically, Little Piece of Heaven follows the common rules. With a verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, and final chorus. All at one tempo except in the final chorus where I slow the tempo down a bit.
I love the way the music makes me feel. It’s fun and a pleasure to play. The lyrical poetry is sincere, beautiful and from the heart.
From the deepest parts of my soul I thank you Tori and Jenny. You have given so much. In a way this is my gift to them. To share that gift with the world. I am sure they would want it that way. This is a love song. Love and respect to not only an amazing woman but also to her creations. As I started writing songs and creating these albums. This song holds a special place in me and will always remain so.
