The GORN throughout the years | from ENTERPRISE to SNW
The Gorn are a fictional reptilian humanoid species in the Star Trek franchise. They first appeared in the 1967 original series episode "Arena", where Captain Kirk famously fought an unnamed Gorn on a rocky planet. The Gorn are known for being:
Cold-blooded reptiles: About 2 meters tall with green skin and red blood.
Strong: Stronger than most humanoids, with adults having greater stamina.
Warm-blooded: Preferring warm climates.
Bipedal: The original series Gorn were large and bipedal.
Quadrupedal: The Strange New Worlds Gorn are smaller and quadrupedal, similar to Xenomorphs.
Egg-laying: They lay parasitic eggs inside hosts that burst from the victim's chest.
Evolving: They've developed the ability to evade Starfleet and electromagnetic medical sensors.
Intelligent: The Strange New Worlds Gorn are highly intelligent and view Starfleet as prey.
Evil: The creators have made a definitive choice to portray the Gorn as evil.
