Seagal Sniper Spec OPS (2016) Is It Really The Stink Pickle of a Movie Everyone Says It Is?

Welcome back to the Why us channel. We got a snooze fest of a movie for y’all today. How can a movie where steven seagal, action movie legend, who plays an Army Delta Force sniper be a total farce? Well this the 2016 version of Seagal, who has completely phoned it in and stopped giving a crap. We hope this review goes better than our earlier seagal movie review that got blocked by youtube because of seagals ego.

This one of many stinkers that Seagal released in 2016, and arguably his worst. 1st of all, he is way too old (60 years old when movie was made) to be taken seriously in the role. 2ndly he is way too fat and out of shape. Slyvestor Stallone could pull it off because he is in shape and can act. Seagal can do neither.

He is a far cry from his “prime” when he was making movies like under siege, now he just mumbles and sits around. He occasionally fires his ar 15 with poor fundamentals. In the few shots his character actually moves, its a “stunt’ double doing the walking.

Fat seagal is not what action movie lovers want to see. Grant it, he was pumping out crappy movies during his fat era at an insane rate, its just that most of them were generic and stuff we don't want to see. He really became a parody of himself. Having a stunt double fill in for scenes where you have to walk upstairs should send you a message.

Sergeant Jake Chandler (Steven Seagal), an expert sniper, joins Sergeant Vic Mosby (Tim Abell) with the Delta Force during an overwatch mission to extract an American Congressman who is being held by the Taliban in a remote Afghan village. At first, the rescue mission is successful until a firefight breaks out. Evac is called in but Chandler and his spotter Pvt. Rich are separated from the squad. During the extraction, several members of the squad are killed or wounded, forcing them to leave without Chandler and Rich.

That is the gist of the plot

At Least Rob Van Dam is in this, although he doesn't do much. This is basically the Hallmark Version of an action movie. It is color by numbers generic military spec ops stuff (done poorly). The actors don't handle their weapons correctly, they move in terrible formations. Even the close ups of the Sniper Scope showing the enemies being targeted is terribly inaccurate.
