God's Power to Bring Something into Existence

The definition of Creator is "a person or thing that brings something into existence."

To bring something into existence means that it did not previously exist. God is the ultimate, all-powerful creator who, in Genesis 1, created the heavens and earth out of the void darkness. He can do the same in our lives if we allow Him.

When we turn to God and release to Him the brokenness, the chaos, the grief, the confusion, the sin, the troubles, He will create something good from it. He tells us in Jeremiah 29:11,

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

And Apostle Paul assures us in Romans 8:28,

"we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

He continues in verses 31-32,

[31] What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? [32] He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

God desires that we relinquish our brokenness, our grief, our worries and our troubles to him. When we do, we allow Him to create in our lives. We allow Him to transform what "is" into something better.

God is the only Creator who can take us from death to life. From less to greater. From brokenness to wholeness. From chaos to peace. From ashes to beauty. From mourning to joy. From weak to strong.

The Lord tells us in Isaiah 43:18-19,

[18] “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. [19] See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

Where there seems to be no way, God creates a way. Where there seems to be a dry, barren wasteland, God creates what we need. He is the Creator of all that is good in the midst of our wilderness and wastelands.

So let us seek our loving Creator to bring good into existence, no matter our circumstance. Let us seek Him to bring the life, peace, joy, wholeness, beauty and new growth into existence. Whatever He creates for us (and in us) will be better than we could have ever imagined!
