Occam’s Razor Gardening, Cooking & Canning Ep 54

Welcome. It was a busy day doing up some dill pickle spears from a sudden large availability of cucumbers.

As well, smaller pickling cucs became available and they had to be put into a fermenting brine for the next 4 weeks.

As well, the last the the Bird Shit Berry Bush berries along with some raspberries are masticating overnight for the last 6th batch of jam making tomorrow morning.

The squash beetle have tapered off for the moment and tomorrow will be another turmeric spray:

The smoke from the forest fires is screening the sun and the plants seem to slow their growth a little, but the zucchinis are producing with enough to make another batch of Spicy Dill Zucchini Spears, of which I have a video underway but the canning is taking precedence.
