July 13, 2025 - The Believer's Response To An Evil World

THINK ABOUT IT

The Jesus Way is the opposite of this evil world’s way
* You are here as a representative/ambassador of Christ’s kingdom in an evil world
* We are not part of the kingdom of this evil world (Satan’s kingdom)

How we conduct ourselves as kingdom representatives is of utmost importance:
* “Repay no one evil for evil” = the Jesus Way!
* “If possible . . . live peaceably with all men” = the Jesus Way!
* “Do not avenge yourselves” = the Jesus Way!

Brothers and sisters, “You are the salt of the earth” -Matthew 5:13
* The presence of salt affects the whole – IMPACT!
* 5% salt (5% true Christians) will change the world – IMPACT!
* Salt must be in contact with the world to work – IMPACT!

Jesus warned that “if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned?”
* The Church, or believer, loses its flavor when it compromises with the world

When we live counter to the world, counter culture, we are salty – we will IMPACT!
* The believer’s response to an evil world is to stay salty, stay engaged, even when it is scary

Our King deserves our best after all!
