Don't trust verify is one of the foundational memes of Bitcoin. Jesse Myer's August 21st, 2020 essay "Why The Yuppie Elite Dismiss Bitcoin" popped up in my feed just as Bitcoin hit a new ATH of $123K yesterday.

Sometimes the simulation delivers exactly what you need at just the right time. Jesse differentiates between Bitcoin Maximalists and Bitcoin Moonboiz. Maximalists get Bitcoin because they're distrustful and smart. Moonboiz are 80 IQ Plebs who fell for number go up.

Jesse says that the insular yuppie elite see all Bitcoiners as Maximalists, but they really see us all as Moonboiz.
