Trigger the Troll.
When Trolls Cry Foul: The Double Standards of Danny West.
The internet is a vast playground for those who thrive on provocation, name-calling, and personal attacks. Trolls like Danny West exist in every online community — individuals who delight in sowing discord, stirring emotion, and then ducking behind a smokescreen of “it’s just a joke” or “you’re too sensitive.” But what happens when the mirror is held up to them? What happens when their own tactics are reflected back? That’s when the hypocrisy surfaces — and the fragile underbelly of the troll is revealed.
Danny West’s behaviour is a perfect study in this double standard.
The Troll’s Open Confession.
Danny West proudly declared:
“I only troll you matt because i trigger the life out of you, as you confessed. 😂😂 get a new job matt, ya crap at this one, you stalker just saying.”
In that single comment, Danny does more than insult. He admits his intent: to provoke, upset, and manipulate emotions for his own amusement. He even mocks the distress it causes, punctuating his glee with laughing emojis — the troll’s digital sneer.
It’s not accidental; it’s deliberate. He wants a reaction because that reaction is his validation. It’s a textbook example of trolling — the willful infliction of annoyance or distress as entertainment. The subtext is: “Look how much power I have over you.”
Dishing It Out — But Crumbling When It’s Reflected Back.
Yet when the tables turn, the troll’s swagger evaporates. Danny West gave you an ultimatum: remove a video that exposed his own vile conduct, or he’d pursue legal action. In effect, he tried to weaponise the law to silence me. Not because I broke the law — but because I held up a mirror to his behaviour.
When his threats proved to be nothing more than hot air — a ruse to scare me into compliance — it became clear: trolls like Danny West thrive on dishing it out, but they lack the resilience to take it back. They bully with impunity but whimper when exposed.
Projection and Inversion.
Danny’s desperation is shown in how he twists my legitimate, satirical response into something sinister: accusing me of a criminal offence (impersonating a police officer) that I patently did not commit. This is not just hypocrisy; it’s projection — a classic tactic. The troll’s logic goes like this: “If I can twist this into a criminal act, maybe I can regain the upper hand. Maybe I can make you afraid.”
It’s the ultimate inversion: the aggressor paints himself as the victim, hoping the world will forget who started the cycle of harassment in the first place.
The Deeper Psychology.
This reveals an uncomfortable truth about trolls: behind the mocking emojis and bold threats often hides insecurity. For trolls like Danny West, the thrill lies in having power over someone else’s mindspace. The second that power is taken away — by exposing their actions, documenting their words, or mocking them with their own tactics — they panic. Their desperate flailing for legal recourse or public sympathy shows just how fragile they really are.
A Cautionary Tale.
Danny West’s saga is not unique, but it is instructive. It reminds us:
Trolls want to control the narrative.
They want to feel dominant, not held accountable.
They want their cruelty to be consequence-free.
But when you stand your ground, their bravado crumbles.
In the end, Danny’s ruse didn’t silence me — it exposed him. His threat to pursue legal action for “harassment” while he himself boasts about trolling is the pinnacle of double standards. And when that failed, he invented a more serious accusation — impersonating a police officer — in a desperate attempt to regain the moral high ground he never had.
Conclusion.
When trolls like Danny West cry foul, remember this: they cannot handle the same scrutiny they inflict on others. Their entire power rests on your silence, your fear, your compliance. By standing firm, by showing the hypocrisy, you reveal what they are really made of — empty threats, desperate projection, and fragile egos.
As the saying goes: If you can’t take it, don’t dish it out.
