1. In Love with the Night History

In Love With the Night is the 1st song from The Cutting Room Floor. In my youth I did a lot of hitch hiking. Definitely an interesting experience and that is what this song is about.
I have had some scary rides. I’ve had some fun ones. Sometimes I’ve had none and ended up walking for hours. I always carried cash and offered to pay for gas. You know the age old adage of cash, grass or, ass.
Musically, this song is fun and simplistic. It has a steady tempo. It plays nicely with a verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, verse, chorus, bridge.
Lyrically it is a joy. I love playing with the rhythmic poetry. This is just a simple story about one of my experiences.
