Filmy-Style Attack on Sarpanch in Broad Daylight Sparks Outrage in Surajgarh

Surajgarh (Rajasthan) — Panic gripped Surajgarh town on Tuesday afternoon when unidentified miscreants attacked Kakoda village Sarpanch Sandeep Dalla in broad daylight near Barasiya College, leaving him and his companion Devi Singh Ola seriously injured.

According to eyewitnesses, around 10–12 attackers arrived in three camper vehicles, blocked the Sarpanch’s car on a busy road, and began attacking it with sticks and sharp weapons. The attackers smashed the vehicle and assaulted both occupants, terrifying onlookers and sending people running for cover.

Despite the brutal assault, Sandeep Dalla and Devi Singh Ola survived and were rushed to the hospital by police, who reached the spot soon after receiving information. The attack, executed in a filmy style, has created an atmosphere of fear and anger in the area, with locals calling it a complete failure of law and order.

Police suspect the attack may be linked to an old rivalry but are investigating all angles. CCTV footage from the vicinity is being examined to identify the attackers, and a forensic team has collected evidence from the scene. Raids are underway, and additional police force has been deployed to maintain peace.

The incident has triggered widespread outrage not just in Surajgarh but in nearby areas as well, with locals demanding immediate arrests and strict punishment for the culprits. The administration has assured that the accused will be caught soon and stern action will follow to prevent such incidents.
