The Sixth Trial Flogging - John 19:1-16

Pilate's final attempt to release Jesus is the sympathy trick. He subjects Him to the cruel Roman flogging. When he presents the battered Messiah to the crowd he hears the troubling news that Jesus claimed to be the Son of God!
