Apatros Review Ep-0172: Seeing Ghosts 2 [2004] ("The Eye 2")

AR-0172: The J-horror ghost story was seriously big in the early 2000s, thanks to movies like "Ring" and "Ju-On", prompting a massive cult following in the West for horror films made in the Far East.

"Seeing Ghosts" [known in international release as "The Eye"] was one of these decent hits, but this first sequel is a decided misfire, thanks to having a protagonist who is completely unsympathetic [she is a serious 304] and pretty much a nasty person with practically no sense of accountability for her actions.

The film has some very mild scares, but these are not the film's main focus.

My Grade: D+ [Disappointing]
