Stan Lee was a comic book writer, editor, publisher, and producer who co-created many popular Marvel characters. Working with artists and co-writers Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, Lee helped create Spider-Man, Iron Man, the X-Men, and more. He started at Timely Comics, a family business that later became Marvel Comics, and eventually became chairman emeritus.
