Occam’s Razor Gardening, Cooking & Canning Ep 57

Welcome. The onions have been harvested and new seed onions planted for a fall harvest. The vine bores/squash beetles are concentrating on the zucchini leaves and I’ve been lucky to catch the egg clutches before hatching.

Honey bees! Many polinators out this morning. Very nice for the flowering squash.

The potatoes continue to be treated daily for the black flea beetles and the Japanese beetles are starting to settle on the other plants. Very annoying, esp when they fly in the pool and get in my hair, which I don’t find out until I’m out of the pool.

It rained for about 5 minutes this morning. Not nearly enough for crops. Digging out the onions demonstrated how dry the soil is without leaf coverage.
