Sacramento Man Arrested for Slashing Tires During Border Patrol Raid

On July 17, 2025, a man identified as Jose Castillo, a 31-year-old U.S. citizen and volunteer with the immigrant advocacy group NorCal Resist, was arrested in Sacramento, California, for slashing the tires of a federal vehicle during a U.S. Border Patrol raid at a Home Depot parking lot on Florin Road. The operation, initially mistaken for an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) action, targeted undocumented individuals, resulting in the arrest of over 10 people.
