Rewilding rhinos is no easy task

As part of a decade-long rewilding initiative, 120 southern white rhinos were translocated from a captive breeding project to reserves represented by South Africa's Greater Kruger Environmental Protection Foundation (GKEPF) in June this year. Spearheaded by African Parks, the goal of the project is to bolster rhino populations in key areas in the hopes of securing a brighter future for the imperilled species.
