🕯️ Litaniæ Humilitatis | The Litany of Humility in Latin
This is not an easy prayer.

It’s not a prayer for comfort, praise, or recognition. It’s not a prayer to be seen, heard, or honored.

This is the Litaniæ Humilitatis (the Litany of Humility) and it’s a prayer to disappear.

✝️ Quid est Litaniæ Humilitatis?
The Litany of Humility is a powerful Catholic devotion attributed to Cardinal Rafael Merry del Val, Secretary of State under Pope St. Pius X.
In this Latin version, we return to the language of sacred tradition, echoing the whispered prayers of saints and religious who longed to become nothing so that Christ could become everything.

Each line asks for deliverance from ego, from self-protection, from the craving to be known.
It invites us to lay down our pride, to step aside, and to let Christ take the center.

🕊️ About This Prayer
This version is set to reverent, cinematic music that allows each line to breathe. The Latin is sung in a spirit of stillness and surrender.

You can:
* Listen with eyes closed in prayer
* Follow along silently
* Or speak the words aloud allowing them to break, challenge, and heal you

🕯️ When to Pray This
Pray this litany when:
* You feel unseen or overlooked
* You struggle with pride, ambition, or bitterness
* You are seeking purification of soul
* You want to imitate Christ more perfectly who emptied Himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a Cross
