“Frozen Signal”

Genre: Thriller / Mystery / Survival

Setting: Remote Westfjords, Iceland – a lighthouse where the Northern Lights dance above and death lies below.

---

Story Summary:

Ravi Gurung, a former Nepali military radio operator, is sent to Iceland for a short-term contract to repair communication systems at an abandoned lighthouse being reactivated by the Coast Guard.

But when he arrives, he finds the equipment tampered with—and an old logbook that suggests the lighthouse was never truly "abandoned." Something—or someone—never left.

---

Plot Outline:

🗓️ Day 1–2: Arrival

Ravi reaches the lighthouse via helicopter.

Finds old frozen food, yet the stove is still warm.

Radio equipment is offline—cut wires, not just damage.

📓 Day 3–4: Discovery

He discovers a hidden sub-basement that doesn't appear on the blueprint.

Inside is an old radio transmitter still running... broadcasting a looping message in Morse Code:
"HELP. Not alone. The cold watches."

❄️ Day 5: No Escape

A fierce snowstorm hits. Chopper can’t return.

Ravi tries to hike to the nearby outpost—but finds a skeleton with a name tag: his own.
(Was this a vision? Time loop? Hallucination?)

💀 Day 6: The Awakening

At night, the aurora flares bright red.

He sees another figure outside the lighthouse, standing still for hours.

His logbook now has entries he never wrote, describing things before they happen.

---

Climax:

Ravi follows the figure to a cliff during a blackout—and finds a crashed plane, frozen in time, from 1977. Inside: photos of himself.

He screams into the cold, then finally fixes the radio and sends one last message:
"If you hear this, don’t come here. The light is not a warning. It’s a trap."

---

Ending:

When rescue finally arrives weeks later, they find the lighthouse empty. But the beacon keeps flashing every night…
…in Morse Code: “Still here.”
