Alberta Must Choose Between the Status Quo or Independence by Michael Wagner

The old motto of the Reform Party of Canada – “the West wants in” – is still the true heart’s cry of most Albertans. A majority of Albertans would likely support reforming Canada so Alberta would be fairly treated. That is what Albertans really want. Unfortunately, we cannot have what we want. The problem is that while “the West wants in,” the East does not want us in. That is the reality we have to face. Therefore, in my view, Alberta is left with only two options: either 1) the status quo; 2) or independence.
