Stephen Colbert’s show was cancelled because they were losing millions a year, it had nothing to do with President Trump. Colbert and his late-night pals destroyed late night comedy by making it overly political and monotonous, rather than focusing on laughter as people seek escape from politics. Past great comedians like Jay Leno, Johnny Carson, and Steve Allen built this genre professionally and these hosts have exploited and ruined it.
