The Man I Love (1947)

Petey Brown (Ida Lupino), a strong-willed nightclub singer, returns to Los Angeles to be with her family and finds them struggling with personal and financial troubles. While working at a seedy nightclub, she falls for a brooding pianist (Bruce Bennett) whose past entangles them both in dangerous conflicts with the club’s shady owner.
