Keep Vigil and Stay Ready! Our Daily Scripture Reading and Reflection

The reading from Exodus speaks of the Lord’s people keeping vigil. This is a Christian obligation as well. “Vigil” is from the Latin, “to watch.” We must keep our eyes and hearts open, ever watchful for the movements and inspirations of God’s grace, and watchful for the threats from the evil one, that we may overcome them. We have to be vigilant for opportunities to save the unborn.
