Steal in the U.S., Say Goodbye to Your Visa! 🇮🇳✈️

The U.S. Embassy in India has just issued a serious warning to all Indian nationals visiting America: commit a crime, and your U.S. visa could be revoked — instantly. This includes theft, assault, or burglary — and could also make you ineligible for future U.S. visas.

The announcement comes after a viral bodycam video surfaced, showing a woman allegedly shoplifting $1,300 worth of merchandise from a Target store in Illinois. The incident, first reported by The Independent, sparked outrage and drew attention to the consequences of criminal behavior by visa holders.

In the footage, the woman is seen pleading with police officers, claiming it was an accident and she didn’t realize she had walked out without paying. But Target staff were already on to her.

"We’ve been watching this girl for four hours. She’s taken tons of merchandise..." said a store employee.
"We’re getting a total done for you. It will be well over $500, I’m sure."

To everyone’s surprise, the woman interjected:
"No. It will be more." 😳

Now, the U.S. Embassy isn’t holding back:

"Committing assault, theft, or burglary in the United States won’t just cause you legal issues – it could lead to your visa being revoked and make you ineligible for future U.S. visas."
They added,

"The United States values law and order and expects foreign visitors to follow all U.S. laws."
The takeaway? Whether you're visiting for school, tourism, or work, don’t risk everything for a shopping spree. The U.S. takes these offenses seriously — and no amount of pleading will stop immigration consequences.
