The Societal and Political Divide

Why are we so divided on the societal and political spectrum? Everything is polarized at the moment and it seems to be even worse than it has been over the last couple decades. I understand that views shift over time from one side to the other but I have never seen it to such an extreme level.

Even now the majority of the US seems be swinging back toward the Republican Right and abandoning the Democratic Socialist and their divisive rhetoric. Yeah, I'm stating things mildly here.

The GenCast is not extremely political but it's hard to sit idly and let things continue without at least voicing our opinions on the matter. There's nothing wrong with disagreeing with people and their viewpoints but you can't really condemn someone based upon that alone. There's a dialogue that needs to happen between WE THE PEOPLE.
