AI powered robot performs accurate surgery without human intervention

An AI-powered robot was able to dissect a gall bladder from a pig corpse in what the researchers behind the experiment claim is the first realistic surgery without human intervention. In all, the surgery, which was conducted on a dead pig corpse, required 17 separate tasks, each of which the robotic system achieved with 100 per cent success. Although, while the robot completed the task with 100 per cent success, it did have to self-correct six times per case. ⁠
