How many millions of handsome young men who bathed in the sun in Europe either of those two summers would be dead only a couple of years later....

In this context, the young man in the video is deliberately portrayed as a faceless archetype. He symbolizes and memorialises all the young men who enjoyed one last summer of peace in Europe in July 1914 and July 1938 before being drafted to fight and die in WW1 & WW2.

And yes...before filming, I asked the young man if it was ok for me to shoot a panorama video with him in it. He said yes.
