I have a current congressional / OIG complaint against the Longview Texas VA clinic and have requested oversight through my representative Nathan Moran district one, Texas. This complaint doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. I have filed charges of neglect & misconduct against my provider, nurse, care team, and other employees whom i notified that I’m being neglected, per their own internal policy. Failure to report this is grounds for dismissal. They’ve had the complaints since May 8. 2025. I’ve been confined a bed all this time writing letters trying to get help.

No meaningful action has been taken since delivery of the original complaint on May 8 of 2025. Finally, I was given the proper imaging I referred to a surgeon outside of the VA after months of complaining through formal letters.

I’ve been laying in a bed suffering waiting for an appointment waiting for surgery waiting for my doctor to perform her duty. I have called multiple times requesting my doctor prescribed me medicine while I’m waiting for surgery. The VA clinic waits three full days and the end of the day before they call me back each time knowing I am in crisis with a piece of metal sticking me in the spinal cord.

This process has repeated at least four times and I am completely ignored, and left to rot by my provider who is done everything she can to get out of continuity of care which includes writing prescriptions for pain medication’s which she has stated in front of witnesses that she does not do which conflicts with her job providing veterans, their benefits.

The longview VA has manipulated the system in every possible way to get out of writing the prescription I desperately need and medical test imaging proves is medically necessary. My provider has gone as far as ignoring the complaint area, which is the thoracic spine, known implant site by ordering a lumbar CT instead.

Another three weeks of arguing I finally get the CT of the thoracic spine which confirms the implant is moving around, stabbing me directly in my spinal cord, causing radiating pain down both legs. Again, this has been ignored. My dramatic weight loss has been ignored. my complaints of being neglected to several VA employees is still being ignored. The Director of the facility has ignored my formal complaint and congressional oversight demand.

I requested a change of Doctor and that my case be re-examined on May 8, 2025. Ignored. If I was the Director of that facility and a patient charge one of my employees with neglect, I would’ve called them that very day. But that never happened. Instead, they cut off contact with me and went silent.

My current provider, a foreign born doctor has arbitrarily decided as a VA employee that she does not write pain prescriptions for anyone. Instead, she ships them off to pain management. This is an improper allocation of resources. No doctor for the VA can arbitrary decide which benefits they will provide and which those they will not. They are not running a private practice. But today after months of doing nothing and ignoring my complaint, they called me to tell me they will allow me to change providers.

Now this back-and-forth has been going on for months and I’m still laying in bed incapacitated. I called the new provider and I’m told my appointment date is in mid October. What is our recourse? The entire chain of command has failed!

They know I’m in crisis and in is excruciating pain. I’ve had to take over-the-counter CBD products. My provider was made aware of this, but now they’re going to claim I filled a urinalysis to get out of their job. The system has been weaponized and what’s going on at the Longview VA clinic is willful, criminal misconduct withholding, veterans benefits.

The entire chain of command at the Longview veterans clinic has failed in their mandate to help veterans access their earned benefits. In fact they’re blocking it through procedural red tape.
